CUNY Marketing

While studying at Baruch college, I had the pleasure of interning and eventually working with the marketing team of The City University of New York (CUNY). More than providing youthful and fun design for an institution that wants to evolve from its traditional past, my goal here was to create designs that feel familiar and appealing to students, invoking the feeling that students are being heard by their university.

CUNY votes

This was a University wide campaign that encouraged students to vote in the upcoming 2024 elections. Cuny Votes is one of my favorite projects to work on because it was the first time I combined my skills as an illustrator with my skill as a designer to create something unique.

Taxi & Friends

Taxi & Friends is a series of characters that are based on CUNY’s official color palette. ‘Taxi’ ,which is also the name of CUNY’s signature yellow, was first designed as a simple means to bring life to a series of tips and guides from the university to the students. It was an instant hit within the office and it became requested more and more as time went on.

OurCuny was a university wide campaign that aimed to ease social tension growing among the campuses, providing resources and info students could use to get support in the difficult times. Enjoying the Taxi character I had created prior, the office felt they would be perfect for this campaign as well.

Student carousels

Cunybystudents is a social media account that provides more student-centric and relatable content to our followers. One of the types of content we produced were photoshoots that our followers would participate in, highlighting diversity, culture, and community. I then had the pleasure of turning the photos from these shoots into fun instagram carousels.
